Most children in Suffolk attend their local mainstream school. There are also a number of special needs schools for children with the most complex learning difficulties. Details of all special needs schools in Suffolk can be seen here .
An SEN assessment is a detailed assessment of a child’s education needs. It includes reports from a variety of people. The assessment identifies the child’s needs and any special help that is required for their education. Further information can be found on the Suffolk County Council website .
Parent Partnership Services (PPS) are statutory servicesoffering information advice and support to parents and carers of children and young people with special educational needs. PPS are also able to put parents in touch with other local and national organisations.
