Safety: HomePage - Activities Unlimited

Safety is extremely important to us.

This section of the website deals with two areas of safety:

  • safety during activities and events
  • safety of this website

Safety of children and young people taking part in Activities Unlimited events

Activities with contact details of the Activities Unlimited team are run by Suffolk County Council. All other activities are run by external providers. We cannot be held responsible in any way for these activities. Inclusion on this website does not imply recommendation by Suffolk County Council. We strongly recommend that you contact the provider to check on the information given as well as on the providers’ safety procedures. It is your responsibility to find out if the club or activity is of a high standard and able to meet your safety needs.

If you have any questions please contact the provider direct or contact us on 01473 832971.

Personal details

All personal information collected through this website is confidential and will be used only by Suffolk County Council. We will not pass any information on to third parties.

We will use the information to produce statistical information to identify levels of needs and to enable us to develop services and new activities as necessary. These reports will be data only – no personal information will be shown.

Any personal details collected on this website are used only in relation to this site. No details will be passed on to any third parties.

Quick enrolment

By completing the quick enrolment form you will be able to look at activities, create a favourites list and send details of your favourites to friends, relatives or carers. Other than your email address and first name the favourites email will not contain any personal details – just links to the activities or short breaks you are interested in attending.

Unless you ask us not to we will use your email address to send you a link to the online version of AU News, AUNews Online. We will also send you information about special offers and events.

Detailed enrolment

The information contained in the detailed enrolment form will be used to check that you are eligible for the activities – that you live in Suffolk and have a disability or additional need. If you are not already on our database (previously the No Limits database) then we may contact you to see if you would like an assessment to see if you are entitled to any help or support that you are not currently claiming. As such, the information given may be shared with other Suffolk County Council departments.

Access to the data we hold on you or your child

You can ask us at any point for copies of the information we hold about you (if you’re over 16), or your child if they are under 16.

When you, or your child if they are over 16, book an activity or short break the details you give to the provider will be used only for the purposes of the booking – and to send out information about future activities or breaks. If you would prefer not to receive information about future activities please let the provider know at the time of booking.
