We’re so pleased you’re using the Activities Unlimited website and want to tell you a bit about us.
We’re here to set up short breaks and activities for all Suffolk children and young people who are disabled or who have additional needs.
We want you to have fun, try new things, make new friends and have the same opportunities as other children and young people.
If there’s something you want to do that you can’t find please let us know and we’ll see if we can add that activity in future.
Who are we?
The Activities Unlimited team is:
Linda Smith
Linda manages the Activities Unlimited project as well as Aiming High for Disabled Children– a government project to give more and better support to disabled children and young people as well as to their families.
Activity Linda would most like to go on: Oh, difficult to choose, I think I’d like to go on the high wires at Thorpe Woodlands. It looks like such fun, a bit scary…but scary’s good.
Lynda Skelton
If you’ve already been on any of our events or activities you’ll probably Lynda. She sets up loads of AU events and usually goes along to see that everyone is having fun. Make sure you say hello if you see her next time you go on an activity.
Lynda Skelton
Activity Lynda would most like to go on: That’s difficult – I love them all! The Wardens Weekend is special and very different. It’s on the cliffs and at night you can hear the sea. There’s music, BBQs, arts and crafts – and then the carnival. The atmosphere is amazing.
Kirsty Turner
Kirsty is the Activities Unlimited Coordinator and works on developing new activities, keeping this website up-to-date and writing AU News. She reads all the comments you send in so don’t forget to use our feedback page.
Activity Kirsty would most like to go on: I love the Kids Klub. There are different activities like horseriding, crate climbing and archery. There’s always lots of laughter and everyone has such fun.
