Local Organisations
Customer First: information about Suffolk County Council services for disabled children and young people, plus parents and carers.
Connexions: an information, advice, guidance and support service for young people. Connexions can help you with things like finding a job, finding a school and college, housing, training courses and benefits.
Children’s Right Officers: children’s rights officers help make sure you have a say in what happens to you. They help you tell people what you think and make sure they listen to you.
Optua: Optua is a charity that provides a wide range of services for disabled people across East Anglia including access groups, advice and advocacy, events and leisure, community transport, care and training.

National Organisations
Childline: free, confidential advice for all under 18s
Mencap: provides support to people with learning difficulties

: support and advice for people with cerebral palsy
ASBAH: support and advice for people with hydrocephalus and spina bifida
Direct Gov: DirectGov provides all sorts of information for disabled people including support at school, looking for work and accessing leisure opportunities
Disability Now: online news and views from Disability Now magazine
BBC Ouch! a fun, interactive website for disabled people with blogs, message boards and an online podcast
Equality & Human Rights Commission: promoting equality and human rights for everyone
